Shakti Band

India News: Startup Shakti Weereble, built at the Incubation Center of Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (PSIT) of Kanpur, has designed a unique smartwatch -shaped power band. This band is designed to protect women, which will help them to protect them from masters and unknown attackers.

How does power band works?

The characteristics of the Shakti band are that it can flow a 4000 volt current, which can cognize the attacker for 3-5 minutes. It also has GPS, which sends live locations to family members and police in emergency. This band does not seem current to the wearer, but it gives a shock to the attacker.

Technology & characteristics

Shakti band is designed from square wave technology. The motion sensor in it recognizes the beating and other activities of the wearer. If someone tries to touch with unfamiliar or wrong intentions, the current flows from the band and the attacker gets a shock.

Availability and price

Shakti band can be purchased online, and its price starts at Rs 3000. The price of its new model can be up to Rs 5000. More than 1400 girls and women are using it so far.

Security facilities can be provided in the ring, shoes & wood

Additional Director of PSIT Dr. Manmohan Shukla said that preparations are being made to use square wave technology in other equipment as well. In the future, security facilities can be provided in the ring, shoes and wood or metal sticks with the help of this technology.

Appreciation & support

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel appreciated the Shakti band and also gave his suggestions at the startup fair held in Lucknow last year. Dr. Srishti Sharma says that his team is working to develop this technique even more, so that women can get more help in safety.
